Tim is at home today. As of July 16, he is on the official waiting list to receive a liver from a donor. So many people want to know how he is doing after his doctor visit in May when the Gastro team and the hepatologist confirmed his liver is not functioning at all. After several more labs and other testing, they asked if he wanted to get on the registry. Yes!!!, He answered. So the journey since that day has included trips to San Antonio to meet the transplant team and and continue with all of the intake procedures necessary for a transplant patient. For now, he can get some of the lab work done in Austin. There may be more episodes of needing to be hospitalized if lab scores indicate he needs to have the extra fluid removed from his abdomen. A call can come at any moment, any day that a liver is available. We hope for sooner rather than later. Thank you for visiting this site. Friends and family is what this is all about right now. I am glad I can be here today to do what I can to help Tim, Eleanor, Aubrey & Glenn and Taft.
Keep us all in your thoughts and prayers. Very much love, Rachel
