Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement.

This is Carolyn Horton. Tim was cleaning the gutters on the back of the house on Sunday afternoon. He fell about 8’ or 9’ feet onto the deck. He managed to get himself inside and contact our neighbor Kim Zorn. She and another neighbor, Scott tended to him and called an ambulance ( I still don’t know all of those details).  I was in Jerusalem at the time so Mark and Emily step up and stayed at the hospital with Tim.   I got back on Monday evening.

He was admitted to ICU @ Shock Trauma on Sunday. He has 4 broken ribs on the right and 3 on the  left. He injured both lungs, but right is worse (hemopneumothorax).  The biggest issue going on for him is respiration  and preventing development of pneumonia.   Still haven’t found the right combo of meds to control pain, so that quest continues.

Many of you have been praying and that is so appreciate. I can definetly feel the graces myself.   As I said, in addition to overall healing, Tim still needs medication(s) that control the pain enough for him to  take deep breaths , but not be too knocked out.   No small task, we are learning.
