This past May, Tim was diagnosed with having an Ascending Aortic Aneurysm after having an echo cardiogram.

From there,  he was put on medication and was given strict instructions to not lift anything over 5lbs.   He was closely monitored as the doctors were trying to get a read on if the aneurysm was growing or not.

With Tim's Dad tragically passing at 56 from this same aneurysm,  his family was unfortunately familiar with his condition.   Just two months after Tim's diagnosis in May,  the family was then hit with another shocking heartbreak with the sudden death of Tim's older Sister , Missy , at the age of 52  from complications due to an  Aortic tear.

Tim's specialists/surgeons continued to monitor him,  and recently agreed they need to go in and fix Tim's aneurysm now.

The surgery will take place this Friday , January 5th, at the University of Minnesota Health Heart Care  located at 500 Harvard Street SE,  Mpls Mn 55455.

The official surgery is called Aortic Valve Sparing Operation.  They will repair the aneurysm that is located in the root of the Ascending Aorta that is attached to the heart.   We have been told that Tim will be in ICU for the first 24-48 hours and based on his progress will most likely be in hospital for 5-7 days.   After that , he will continue his recovery at home and have weeks of rehab.

Many people have asked how Tim has been feeling.  Tim physically has not felt any effects from having this, but the emotional and mental strain on Tim, his Mom , his Sister, and their family has been heavy.

We know that we are supported by so many amazing family members and friends.   We ask that you keep us in your thoughts and prayers .

We will keep this site updated after surgery to let you know how things went,  and will continue to keep you informed with his progress.

Thanks!!
