After several months of extreme fatigue and almost constant vertigo, it was time to see the Doctor. What started with a visit to Urgent Care and some blood work turned into a journey neither one of us saw coming. On February 21, 2018, one week after that Urgent Care visit, Tim was diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastatic Urothelial Carcinoma. The past 3 months have had dozens of Doctor and Oncologist visits, several lengthy hospital stays, dozens of prescriptions, countless lab tests, and two major surgeries. On February 28th he had his right Kidney removed, and on April 9th, a titanium rod was placed in his right femur to strengthen the bone which was weakened by a 4" x 1" hole eaten away by the cancer. Tim has completed two weeks of radiation treatment on the right leg, and is set to begin chemotherapy on Monday, May 14th at Minnesota Oncology. While nobody knows what obstacles and challenges are in the future, one thing is for sure, Tim will face each one head-on with dignity, class, and his trademark humor, and together we will face them with love. Thank you for following us as we embark on this next chapter. Love you all - Tim & Kim
