Before we begin the next chapter of our lives together, Tim and I would like to say "Thank you" for journeying with us. We are not certain the duration or direction but one thing we are certain of is that... We are trusting God for the strength to endure through...after all He is the One that promises He will NEVER leave us nor forsake us! Here is where this chapter, which we will title cancer, began...On Monday, January 25th, in the evening after dinner Tim, who had been complaining about a pain on his right side under his rib cage for a couple weeks, shared that the pain was intensifying and actually making breathing difficult. At this point we were thinking possibly his gall bladder. Well, after going to the ER and having blood tests run which led to a CT scan the results were not totally his gall bladder. The results included stage 4 colon cancer which had spread to his gall bladder (cancer and stones), liver, both lungs, omentum and his lymph nodes. Tim had surgery on Wednesday, January 27th to remove his omentum, gall bladder, and half of his colon. Tim did spend about 12 hours in ICU on the 29th with a collapsed lung and pneumonia! Note ONLY 12 hours!! Tim is a fighter! We came home from the hospital on Tuesday, February 2nd.
Ok, at this point you are either nodding your head because you already knew some of the story but now ya know the whole story or ya really didn't know any of it and are still speechless...either way thanks for hanging in there! As this journey unfolds we will keep you updated!
