The back story-

Now that Timmy is home recovering, I am taking  some time to let everyone know what happened.

On   November 11th, my wife found Timmy on the garage floor in cardiac arrest. CPR was performed and with the aid of Paramedics his heart began beating again.

He was transported to Hoag hospital in Newport Beach where his heart stopped again about four hours later.   There was a team of 20 working on him to once again revive his heart.  They did.

He was sent to surgery  to have two "impella" pumps placed in his heart to provide blood  flow while his heart recovered.   This is only the 2nd time in the world this has happened to an adolescent.   Also this is the first time in Orange County that two pumps we used at the same time.   At this point, Timmy was only given a 10%  chance for survival.  Something a parent should never have to hear.

Further, Hoag hospital is the only area hospital that had these life giving pumps,, and they were just certified  on their use two days prior to Timmy's event.

Inside is the story of Timmy's recovery, starting on 11/15/16, the day he was reborn. A true testament to Timmy's strength and resolve.

Prior to 11/15 we were unable to document his recovery due to extreme emotions and recovery uncertainty.
