Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. Our brother Tim was diagnosed was stage 3 lung cancer June 14, 2016. He was receiving radiation and chemo and seemed to be responding well to these treatments. However, after 5 weeks of treatment he began to develop new symptoms. He was hospitalized Monday, August 8th for severe pain in his spine and numbness in his legs and arms. The doctors were concerned that the cancer had spread from the lungs. After some tests, our worse fears became reality. We learned that the cancer had metastasized on his spine. Tim is now paralyzed from the waist down with limited use of his arms. He started receiving radiation for the cancer on his spine, in hopes of it shrinking and reducing the pressure in order to gain back some function. This has still not occurred, but we are remaining hopeful. Tim will be placed in a nursing care facility as soon as a placement becomes available. We are praying for peace and comfort and leaving it all in God's hands. Please be in prayer for Tim and our family as we face this terminal illness.
