Tim Bolton

Everyone, my name is Ellen.  I am a good friend of Carol and Tim's.  Carol and I have been friends since jr. high.  We go WAY back.  I have been given the honor of being the editor and maintenance gal of this site as I have just been through a medical incident with a brother and have learned to navigate the site.  

Now, the reason for this site and why you have been invited to view.  Many of you know that Tim had a medical emergency last week.   He and Carol had been in France...having a wonderful time.  Their first trip to France, just the two of them, since having children.  Tim started having back pain...they didn't think anything unusual as he had back pain from time to time.  But, it got really bad...to the point that he wanted a wheelchair to navigate the airport and get on the plane when coming home.  

Tim and Carol continued to believe he was just having normal back pain...they were doing massage, warm compresses, etc for a few days after arriving back home.  Then Tim's toes started to drop.  A friend convinced them to take him to an ER where they did an MRI and found a mass.  He was taken to emergency surgery right away.  They removed the mass and had to do some reconstruction on his spine.

Needless to say this is shocking and upsetting news for Tim and Carol and all that love him.

Here is where we are now.  They think that the mass is cancerous.  They don't know where the primary lesion of the cancer is.  They are doing additional radiological diagnosic testing as well as tumor markers.  Tim had some nerve damage during the surgery and has lower body weakness.  Tim is in a rehab facility in Austin in order to improve function.

Tim and Carol as all of you know have an immense faith that is sustaining them and an enormous amount of people from near and far that are supporting them.  Carol says they are making a plan day by day.

As you can imagine, they have people from EVERYWHERE wanting to know what is going on with Tim.  Hence, this site.  Carol is overwhelmed by the love and support that has been coming their way.  She is very busy with Tim and the kids and won't have time to get back to everyone is a timely manner.  So, as I said earlier...I have the honor of keeping this site up to date with how they are doing.
