Tim and Kim O'Brien

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Tim and Kim were out to dinner with family Saturday, December 29th, 2018 at a restaurant near the O’Brien family cabin in Northwestern Wisconsin. The family recalls that while at dinner, Tim and Kim were filled with joy; at one point, Kim remarked “Look at how happy Tim is! He is so happy.” After dinner, the family parted ways; some by snowmobile and some by car. Tim and Kim left together on a snowmobile. It was a beautiful night and they told family they were excited to enjoy the ride home. When Tim and Kim did not return in a timely matter, the family called 911 and a massive search led by many professionals and volunteers from the surrounding area and family began. They were found in Webb Lake the following morning. Tim was a very experienced snowmobiler, but due to the newly opened and unmarked trails the snowmobile went through the ice.
