As most of you know by now through a series of tests, procedures and CT's since Jan. 2017 I have been diagnosed with high grade prostate cancer. To get technical I have a PSA of 13.69, a t staging of t2b and a Gleason score of 9. The good news on that front is it appears self contained and has not spread outward or in the bones. Purely unrelated but caught in the tests is that I have abnormal, suspicious urethral cells, waterworks, which needs further investigation. So on May 19th I am scheduled for a further scope and biopsy procedure in the OR at St Joseph's here in Comox. Pending the results from that test my urologist is starting me on a Hormone treatment May 9th to keep the prostate in check. Provided positive results are found by the end of the month I will get referred to an oncologist in Victoria to commenced a combination of radiation therapy as at this stage as I have decided against removal. I was referred to this unique web site by my friend Caroline and thought this might work, saving time, keeping friends like you in the loop without missing anyone, and streamlining communications. In my case I am only doing this as you asked to be keep in the loop but please do not feel compelled to partake in the website, respond or use for any other purpose. I appreciate all the support from our network of family & friends since this journey started for Jill and me. We will use All the PMA we can in the upcoming months. Cheers Tim
