Tommy Parham Friends of Tommy & Angela

On June 10th, Thomas “Tommy” Parham and his wife Angela received devastating news that couldn’t have landed farther from the dreams they have for their family.  This fund was established by friends of the Parham family to assist with medical costs related to brain surgery, cancer treatment (including chemo, radiation, other procedures), moving, and household expenses to help relieve the incalculable financial burden of Tommy’s sudden illness and inability to work.

After experiencing seizures and undergoing surgery to remove a mass in the front right lobe of his brain, Tommy, at just 40 years old, was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive form of brain cancer — the mass that was removed was a glioblastoma.   This news would have left many couples crippled in fear, anguish, and sadness, but Tommy and Angela, clinging to their faith, immediately focused on finding the best treatment possible while ensuring that their girls, ages 9, 6, and 5, kept to their daily routines and activities.

Tommy is the most dedicated and loving husband, doting father, proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and engaged member of Alfred Street Baptist Church in Alexandria, Virginia.  He is his parent’s only child, admires his father as his hero, and loves his hometown of Beckley, West Virginia.  He built an IT consulting firm with all of the tenacity and ingenuity that it takes to be able to start a business and see it profitable enough to support his family.  He is the quintessential, God-fearing family man, humble in every way, and a loyal friend who’s always willing to help others, no matter how tough the job.

Angela, a civil servant for nearly a decade and selfless community servant as part of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc and the Northern Virginia Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, is now supporting the family on her salary alone as they begin the battle against Tommy’s brain cancer.   With decided courage and sacrifice, the Parham family will downsize from their current home to direct most of their finances toward Tommy’s treatment.

Every contribution, every prayer, and every word of encouragement and support will be appreciated greatly by the Parham family and all who love them.

Thank you,

Friends of The Parham Family
