Welcome to Tommy Guffin's CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Tommy seems to have had a stroke on Sunday, December 13th.  He is currently receiving care at Kennestone Hospital in Marietta (677 Church Street NE, Marietta, GA 30060).  He has lost some of his vision and his ability to speak and understand questions.  The doctors and nurses at Kennestone are still trying to assess his condition and aren't quite sure what happened after Tommy had the stroke.  He has an injury to the back of his head and the stroke seemed to occur in the back part of his brain.  Martha and Arty are on the scene supporting Tommy.  Arty will be taking care of Jenny, Tommy's dog.  Please send all messages here because both Arty and Martha have been very busy.  Please wait until Tommy has a room outside of the ER to send flowers and cards.  We will post that room number as soon as we have it.  Kennestone has a stroke rehab center so it will probably be within that center.  Thanks again for visiting Tommy's Caring Bridge site.
