Thomas Cook

Thomas Cook is resting comfortably at Providence Hospital.  Tom is surrounded by his family, and they are all enjoying this precious time together.  They are grateful for the generous outpour of support and encouragement from friends, co-workers, family, church family, and the community.  Tom’s faith is strong, and we praise God for His wonderful peace and comfort. 

Tom is receiving visitors, but his energy level is low so visits need to be short.  (10 minutes) Please call ahead to make sure that it is a good time.  Please be flexible since Tom’s treatment appointments do change.

Our prayer request is that God will do a miracle and completely heal Tom of this cancer.  Pray that Tom will be pain free to rest and to gain strength.  We praise God for His love and mercy over Tom, and we know that God is in control.  We thank God for His amazing grace and peace as He faithfully carries Tom and his family through this difficult time.

Thomas is battling cancer with radiation and chemotherapy.  Earlier in the year Thomas suffered a broken shoulder and recently a broken hip which is why his is currently in the hospital.  Complications from a tumor on his spine have caused Tom to have paralyses from the chest down.  Right now the medical goal is to continue Tom’s radiation to shrink the tumors that are causing the paralyses.
