Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. Scroll through the journal entries: the first one (which is the last one in the thread) is about my surgery date has the most relevant medical info. After several weeks of having balance issues, on Tuesday August 7 I had an MRI of my brain and a large mass was found (specifically a central neurocytoma) I am in no pain and have no disability. The ER doctor in Owosso in consultation with an on-call neurosurgeon determined that the situation was not immediately life-threatening, but directed me to the University of Michigan hospital for quick action. Of course, this was shocking to Anna and me and we have been in state of some turmoil. Right now, I remain upbeat and am hoping for the best.
