Welcome to my CaringBridge website. I am using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. I appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. In September of 2016, I found out I had a massive tumor on my right ovary, larger than a softball. After finally getting an appointment with a specialist on Dec 8th, the decision was made to have it removed immediately. I went in for surgery on Dec 12th. The mass was bigger than they thought it would be and to the doctor's surprise, turned out to be cancerous. Because of the cancer diagnosis, a complete hysterectomy was done during the surgery. The tumor had been leaking blood and fluid into my abdomen (for who knows how long), so with that, my doctor thought it best to have 6 rounds of chemo to kill any possible cells that may have planted themselves elsewhere in my body.
