Updates, and sometimes stories, about our dad, James McMahon, aka The World's Biggest 97-year-old Badass. Dad was diagnosed with congestive heart failure in April of 2016, when he got his pacemaker. He was 93 at the time, about 4 months from his 94th birthday. In late October of 2019, his CHF took a sudden and precipitous turn for the worse. By the time he walked into the emergency room (and he did walk - Patricia dropped him off and went to park the car), his heart pump rate was down to 14 (a healthy rate is between 50 and 75). He is going to have to be on supplemental oxygen for the rest of his life. Knowing Dad, he may still make it to 100.
