Francoise was recently diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma (stage3a) and will start chemo treatments beginning Friday, January 15th at University Hospital. This type of cancer has a very high cure rate.
While scared of the unknown..not knowing how she will feel or if she will lose her hair, she is optimistic that she'll beat this cancer.
Francoise will continue working as our / Aurora's City Councilwoman for Ward #6, as she is making huge strides already!
With your help, support and most needed prayer... Francoise, Gregg and Cameron will get through the next six months.
We are taking donations to allow Francoise to experiment in a "penguin cold cap" during chemotherapy. This head cap was just FDA approved in December and has had a large success rate with Breast Cancer patients. We are hoping this experiment with Lymphoma treatment will work as well. This is a very costly endeavor so her Girlfriends are raising money to help fund this experiment. If you would like to donate, please contact Kathy Sherrard at 239-289-3429 or Kathy.sherrard@Marriott.com NOTE: if you are interested in donating to this effort, DO NOT donate to the Caring Bridge site, rather just contact Kathy and she can instruct you how to donate.
