On March 6th, 2015 Karen was placed on the lung transplant list....During that time, she struggled to breathe, but worked hard to stay healthy and ready for a double lung transplant. After 1301 days, on September 27th, 2018, a beautiful stranger's family gave my mom the gift of a future by donating their loved ones lungs. This is the beginning of my Mother's new life
