Welcome to my CaringBridge website. I am using it to keep my family and friends updated as I walk this next leg of my journey. 


I was newly diagnosed on August 21, 2018 with breast cancer. Everything started to unravel after our family vacation to Seabrook Island...a peaceful place of memories...from related and unrelated (a godsend) symptoms to diagnostic exams to multiple biopsies to final diagnosis. It all hit within a very small window of time. Needless to say, I am overwhelmed. They found 2 types of cancer, so I will be undergoing a mastectomy on Thursday, September 13 at Mercy Medical Center in Canton, OH. I have 2 of the best surgeons, Ramey and McCormack, as well as an amazing ancillary care team. 


I am also surrounded by a loving family and a myriad of beautiful friends, old and new, near and far, who pour out their support through prayers, words of hope and encouragement, and by their actions of love.
