Thadd Tweet is a 48 year old husband, father, friend, brother, and son. His faith falls bright and heavy on the Lord. He has just been handed a diagnosis of stage 4 rectal cancer with metastases in the liver. His prognosis is not quite as bright as his outlook: 6 months without treatment and up to 2 years with.
Sharon is his wife (and most likely the primary writer to this page) of 21 years. She's dedicated the past 21 years to making their house a home and raising up their two boys, homeschooling along the way.
Their son, Isaiah, is almost 19 and spreading his wings into adulthood, moving into his first apartment. Pragmatic, big-hearted, hard-working, loyal, and full of life.
Their son, Elijah, has just turned 16 with so many questions about life and his place in it; desiring to pursue archery, wishing school was over. Tender-hearted, sensitive, hard-working, devoted, and loving.
As we walk this journey together, we covet your prayers. Life holds so many unknowns, so many uncertainties, and so many desires. At the moment, we are weighing options regarding treatment / palliative care, and relying heavily on hope for healing.
Thank you for following our story and our journey. Your prayers and encouragement will be a source of comfort and strength (and, I imagine, laughter) as we walk this path.
