Welcome to our nightmare... by Lisa Heckman — 2 hours ago
Terry was in a motorcycle accident early evening Sunday March 19th. He was stabilized at the scene of accident and air lifted to Luther hospital in Eau Claire, WI. He is currently in a coma due to head trauma, hooked up to ventilator, ICP (internal cranium pressure) monitor, and several other things I can't remember. He's had 3 cat scans and no internal bleeding or bleeding on the brain which is wonderful. He has a fractured bone in neck, ribs on left side are all fractured, his right ear mangled a bit. They are holding off on doing an MRI due to he gets to agitated and his ICP level goes up which means brain is swelling and they are trying to avoid that. He is starting to move and briefly open his eyes which is a great sign he's starting to wake up, he's just taking baby steps. He is in Room 1520 in Critical Care at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire. We would like to thank everyone for all the love and support and prayers they are greatly appreciated. Visiting is permitted just NOT between 2pm to 4pm that is quiet time they don't even let us in. Thank you all for support and continued prayers! Family of Terry "Larry" Heckman
