Terri has started with "Round 2"..... After (finally) having a PET scan to truly know the outcome of all the treatments that she went through with cervical cancer, the results were not what we wanted to see. The cancer moved from the lymph node in her pelvic area to another lymph node near her stomach. Because of this, she remains at Stage 3b. Things have moved quickly. Last Thursday, 8/31, the caregivers installed a port and she received a chemo treatment. This time, she will have a treatment once every 3 weeks. Six treatments, over 18 weeks. She will lose her hair, this time. 


Her oncologist said that this treatment may not work. They will do another PET scan after the 3rd treatment. If the tumor has not reduced, they will change the chemo. Even this may not be effective. If not, Terri will qualify for the recently approved "immuno-therapy" treatment. This has a high degree of success and the oncologist feels that this will work for Terri. 



So......we are headed back down the long road to a solution for Terri.
