A few weeks ago Terri started getting headaches and not being able to sleep. She looked and acted exhausted. On Monday Dec. 5 we drove her to Loma Linda Hospital- Murrieta where she was given a CT scan. The scan showed 5 spots on her brain, so they ordered her an MRI, not just of her head but her torso also. When the results came back they told us Terri most likely had both Breast cancer and Brain cancer, that the two were related, and its something called Metastatic disease. They then biopsied the right breast. We waited 48 for the results. The results came back negative for cancer in her right breast.
Terri spent 3 days at Loma Linda in the emergency room (they had no open beds). She was given steroids to shrink some swelling in the brain. After the first day on steroids she seemed better- less tired, more talkative -- more like herself. She was discharged on Wednesday Dec. 7, 2016. Terri still seems tired but she is fully functioning.
We are in the process of getting her into City of Hope-Duarte. Please pray for the perfect Doctor to treat Terri, and that this process happens quickly, as we want her treatment to begin asap!
