Welcome to Terrea's website. We've created it to keep friends and family updated about her recovery.

We appreciate all the love and support expressed in so many ways. Everyone asks the question "What can we do?" At the moment prayer is what we need. We are just waiting for the next step. We will let you know if there are any needs. Thanks again!

Early morning approximately 1 o'clock in the morning Monday, September 28th, 2009 on the drive home from the Seattle airport Nelson and Terrea were in a single vehicle rollover accident near Cle Elum, WA. Another driver called 911. They were pinned by the cab of the truck and the posts of the truck were cut to remove both of them. Nelson was able to walk away from the accident while Terrea was taken by ambulance to Easton then mediflighted to Harborview Medical Center.

Nelson called Chad from the road side. Chad met Nelson at the towing company and took him to Harborview while Melanie, Chad's wife, met Terrea at the ER.

Melanie was able to stay with Terrea. She was very critical at this point with dangerously low blood pressure and heart rate. A code was called and were prepping for CPR when she began to stabilize. She was intubated while in the ER. They immediately took her in for a CT scan then moved her to the ICU when she was stabilized.

While this was occurring Nelson was brought to the ER and was worked up by staff with x-rays and a CT scan with no injuries present. Nelson was able to briefly see Terrea while in the ER before he was worked up. Tana arrived from Oklahoma at midnight.

Terrea is now on a vent with a chest tube and halo supporting her cervical spine. She has fractures of the spine at C2 and T4, transverse process fractures of T1-3 and C3 and a dissociation of C1-2. Other fractures include on the right side the clavicle, humerus, wrist and ribs 1 & 3-5 with a shoulder dislocation. On the left ribs 2-6. She also has a right hemo/pnuemo thorax and right pulmonary contusion.
