On Monday morning, May 16, 2016, Terje and his son Tim were in horrific head-on collision on Santiam Pass.  Terje was the driver and sustained multiple fractures and traumatic injuries. He required an 8hour surgery on Monday to repair his lower legs/knees as well as a compound fracture of his left arm.  On Wednesday, he had another surgery to repair his right upper arm.  He has experienced several other setbacks which are expected in a trauma/ICU situation.  He now has 2 chest tubes, remains on a ventilator and is heavily sedated in the ICU.  They are planning to continue with a scheduled surgery on Monday the 23rd to fuse C6/C7 as well as repair C2.

This has been a true time of struggle and pain, yet we are in awe of Christ's provisions.  He is sustaining us - providing peace that surpasses understanding.  We are aware this is a long process and are learning to pace ourselves and "ride the wave" with the vistories and setbacks.  We are overwhelmed by the prayers and support of friends and family.  The Church and community have been such a source of comfort and support.  We feel you are His hands and feet.

Thank you for loving us through this storm.  We place the future in the Lord's Hands.  He is faithful and we trust Him.
