In October 2018 Teri McCollum went almost overnight from being a healthy full-time worker with a busy life enjoying her daily active outdoor beach walk to finding herself in treatment for the incurable disease of Multiple Myeloma. For the past two years she's been in treatment which left her with many side effects from the treatment and disease making it difficult to drive. She is asking local friends for help to get a ride down the few miles from her apartment on the hill to Pacifica Beach once or twice a month for a walk along the shore. Assistance with some weekly household help, rides to ongoing maintenance therapy, completeting forms for housing applications are also needed. This Caring Bridge site needs a manager; an out of area friend could be a great help with that!
Teri's friends have started a GoFundMe Campaign as of June 2021. Since Teri was permanently disabled in late 2018 her medical costs and living expenses have used up her savings and 401K. Any size contribution on her behalf is appreciated! This is the first fundraiser since she was diagnosed and is more important that ever. Thank you! Please consider making an ongoing monthly donation to sustain her rent.
