Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

On October 3rd, 2016, Teri was diagnosed with Ductal Carcinoma in Situ (DCIS) breast cancer - high grade. During the biopsy's and MRI testings they have performed, the doctors have found extensive disease on the left side.  They also performed tests on a couple spots on the right side and found those to be benign. The doctors are concerned about her having an aggressive form of cancer at her age and are currently performing genetics testing to see if there are other areas they need to look into.

Teri is currently scheduled to have a bilateral mastectomy on Thursday, November 3rd. During the surgery, they will be doing what is called a sentinel node biopsy on the left side to determine if the cancer has spread to lymph nodes .  Please pray that her surgery goes well and that the cancer has not traveled to lymph nodes or  to other areas of her body.

Due to the large number of people who care about Teri, the family will be using Caring Bridge as their primary means of communication.  We appreciate all of the phone calls, texts, cards and visits but please understand if we are not able to respond to all of them right away as we want to focus on caring for her in the days/weeks after her surgery.

Thank you for all your support during the next few weeks and please continue to pray for Teri and the family .  Teri is a very determined and strong person who will fight this nasty disease with everything she has!  #teamteri #T-2

Blessings,
