The most loved and adorable family member and friend as most of you know was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2011. Her entire left lung was removed and has been living a very active life with her remaining lung. Unfortunately, the cancer has spread through her bloodstream to her brain, thyroid and her healthy lung. Her oncologists are working together and focusing on taking care of one area at a time. They are currently treating her brain tumors with steroids, radiation treatment and chemotherapy. She made it through ten days of radiation therapy which took place from March 3, 2016 through March 16, 2016 and is currently on a two week break. The next step is chemotherapy which will resume on March 30. A PET scan will follow after the chemo to monitor her progress. So far, so good she has remained in high spirits and is the most courageous and bravest person we know. Let us take her health journey together.
