Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most.

The end of May I walked out of my physical feeling pretty happy, things looked good and I had lost 5 pounds, woohoo! I had my yearly mammogram a few days latter. A couple of days later I got a call that they saw something and wanted me to come back in for another mammogram and possible ultrasound. I wasn't too worried because I had been called back three other times and it always turned out to be nothing. The spot showed up on the second mammogram so I had to have the ultrasound. While doing the ultrasound they found the spot that was showing up on the mammogram, but they also found another one right next to it, that hadn't shown up. The radiologist didn't know what they were so I had 2 biopsies done. He told me because of the small size and where they were located I would not have felt anything. (If you haven't had your yearly mammogram please get it done.) On June 14th, my birthday, I found out I had breast cancer, officially making it my worst birthday ever! I will use this site to update you, my wonderful family and friends on this journey that our family is now on.
