Today, I (Tom) am updating. I want to begin with asking for prayer for the love of my life, Teralena (Terry). We have been married for over 28 years. This past May (2020), Terry found out after her yearly mammogram that there was a mass in her left breast. After the MRI, she had a biopsy which confirmed a cancer diagnosis. Upon following the oncologist report and suggestions, Terry had a mastectomy. 3 lymph nodes were also tested during the procedure. It had been stage 1 prior to surgery and as the oncologist reported "Everything looks clear," he indicated no chemotherapy or radiation was necessary. Several weeks ago, Terry returned for her 6-month check-up and we were told that there was a "mysterious" lump at the original site. After further tests and a pet scan, we learned that the original cancer had returned, metastasized, and that her cancer has been staged at a 4! Needless to say, we were both shocked at the diagnosis! The cancer is no longer just in her breast, but has spread to her spine, chest, and is additionally near her lungs. We will be heading to Florida for a two-month long treatment at a homeopathic cancer treatment center in Tampa, FL this next week. Please, please, join us in praying for Terry's healing! We'll keep you updated as we can and are grateful in advance for everyone's prayers, encouragement, and support. But we are not discouraged but encouraged how the Lord prepared us from the first diagnosis to provide us with these non-conventional treatments to administer healing for this last diagnosis! We also have faith that God is in it to bring Terry to complete healing! Thank you so much!!!
As we begin this road, we are encouraged from Psalm 121: "I lift my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He will not let your foot be moved; he who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade on your right hand. The sun shall not strike you by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep you from all evil; he will keep your life. The Lord will keep your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forevermore."
