Ted Schlichte Ted's Medical Fund

First off let me start by saying this is the last thing I wanted to do, but because of circumstances beyond our control, we have no choice but to ask for help.
Ted and I met 9 years ago and got married 6 years ago, a year after we were married the health problems started for both of us and it has been a never ending roller coaster since then.
So, here is Ted's Story:  First of all, Ted is one of those people that even if he is horribly sick, he never complains and will go to work no matter how bad he feels.  Well four years ago he started having terrible headaches and some blurred vision, to the point one night he called me from work and said he was coming home because it was really bad.  I knew then that something was wrong.  He got home and I immediately took him to the ER.  His blood pressure was 240/164, we were shocked.  The hospital did everything they could to get his blood pressure down, but nothing was really working, but after hours of meds, etc., it was finally in a range that they could send him home.  The next day we saw our family physician and she started him on a regiment of blood pressure medicines and told him he needed to stay home, but in Ted's fashion, he went to work that night.  Not even a few hours later, he was having headaches again and his blood pressure was sky high again, so he went to the ER in the town he works in.  They decided to do a CT scan and found a mass in his head, which turned out to be a  tumor on the left side of his pituitary gland.  We had to see the neurosurgeon a few days later, several specialist over the next three months, and then surgery to remove it.  He spent one day in the ICU, three days total in the hospital, and over a month recovering at home, but eventually he was healed up and was able to go back to work.   Every year though he has to get an MRI to make sure the tumor hasn't come back and they have all been clean.
These past four years he has found out he only has one kidney, has stage two kidney disease, has had severe acute pancreatitis caused by blood pressure meds he was on, and unexplained swelling in his legs and feet, this is just his health issues, including mine it has been non stop surgeries, procedures, blood tests, doctor, specialist, and ER visits, even had a two week trip to the Mayo Clinic, and even though I can't work because of my health issues, he keeps going, works hard, takes care of me, and never complains!!
So, now to why I am making this page for Ted.  Ted hasn't been feeling well these past few months and has had no energy, so on July 14th he had to go get his yearly MRI done and this time it didn't come back clean.  Ted now has a tumor on the right side of his pituitary gland and had to see the neurosurgeon yesterday.  The surgeon was discouraged and confused that he had another tumor and gave him two options, he could either do radiation, which is a long process, only shrinks the tumor, and eventually will harm his pituitary gland or surgery.........so surgery it is.  We now wait for the surgeon's nurse to call us with all the specialists and his CT scan appointments, then once we do all that and everything is a go, they will schedule surgery......again!
Now here comes the reason why we need help.  Four years ago when Ted had his first surgery he had paid time off days he could take to cover us financially until the short term disability kicked in after two weeks of being off work, but that isn't the case this time because on June first I had to have surgery with an eight week long recovery, so Ted took time off to take care of me in which he used up all of his paid time off days, so he has none left to cover that two week period he has to go through before we can get the STD.  If that isn't enough, just in the past couple months, we have had to put a lot of money into our vehicles to make them where we can drive them, we had to get a new furnace because our ancient one went kaput, and our renters are buying a house so we won't have that income coming in either, which covers our loan payment, until we can find new tenants to move in, which isn't guaranteed.  This has all depleted what little money we had saved up, so we are in a pretty bad place right now.
We are in the process of trying to sell a few things to see if we can come up with enough money to get us through the time he will be off work, because like I said we are not ones who like to ask for help if we can do it ourselves, but getting people to buy the stuff we are selling isn't guaranteed either, so this is our last option.
So, if you can find it in your heart to help us out in our time of need, it would mean the world to us and we would be forever grateful!!
