Hello and welcome to Ted's CaringBridge site. As many of you know, Ted has been battling an assault on his lungs since Friday, July 1, 2016. It is our hope that this site may serve as a simple, easy-to-navigate "hub" for us all to keep in touch and get the latest updates regarding Ted's progress. Please feel free to forward this website to anyone who is interested - www.caringbridge.org/visit/tedcrosbie (
http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/tedcrosbie). Thanks for all your continued well wishes, prayers and healing energy. You may feel welcome to contact Ro anytime at rcrosbie@tero.com or call/text 515-971-9077 for further updates.
Please Note: Visitor policy at the request of Ted's ICU team of doctors and nurses
The outpouring of support continues to brighten days and keep spirits up. Recently, questions have been raised as to what the visitor policy may be in Ted's situation. As a result, and with much guidance from Ted's doctors and nurses, we wanted to answer that question for those who may be wondering.
While Ted and Ro would love to see everyone, the ICU team who is caring for Ted at this time requests that, rather than via in-person visits to the hospital, people show their support through cards in the mail, emails to Ted and/or Ro, CaringBridge notes, e-cards (
http://www.kumed.com/patient-visitor/send-card/send-message-to-patient), thoughts and prayers, etc., at least until further notice.
The doctors and nurses thank everyone in advance for their understanding and cooperation as Ted continues to heal. They recognize that family and friends are important to a patient's recovery, so once Ted's strength is back, they look forward to the consideration of opening visiting hours.
