Ted Bergeron

Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting.

Today is the one year anniversary of my diagnosis of Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer that had Metastasized to my Liver.  I've been undergoing a series and variety of treatments that has included different chemo regiments, radiation, and a celiac plexus nerve block procedure.  To say that today has been emotional is an understatement.  I'm currently in the middle of a chemo treatment and slept most of the day.

I'm starting this site due to the overwhelming support and love that I get from family and friends.  For anyone who has been in my situation, keeping everyone updated is exhausting.  I needed another way to keep everyone updated without wearing myself out.  Caring Bridge offers that ability, so I thought I'd try it.  Hope no one is offended, but I need to continue to do what's best for me in my effort to hang around a little bit longer.

Doing OK today.  Just very tired.  Chemo yesterday lasted all day due to the reaction and failure of my last treatment.  This current on was a little at at time stretched out over the day.  No adverse reaction, so that's good.  I'm headed to bed.  Due to get pump disconnected tomorrow and then see if I have normal reaction to 5-FU which normally is no big deal.  Check back late tomorrow to see.

Love you all.
