Tessa was diagnosed with high grade pleomorphic sarcoma in early June 2021 after an x-ray for side/rib pain in late May showed a mass in her right lung pleura. After a round of chemo on an initial treatment plan, her treatment was changed to that of an osteosarcoma even though her tumor is not on a bone. It does, however, have many characteristics/components of an osteo/bone tumor. Just prior to her diagnosis, she had been active and playing on her high school varsity and JV soccer team. We thought the pain was just a bruised rib or strain. It was all such a shock to say the least. Thank you for your prayers.
