Marlenes Teixeira

Marlenes is a daughter, a wife, a friend, a musician, a teacher and now a mother to two healthy, beautiful boys.  She is caring, loving, compassionate, determined, soothing & supportive.  She is a woman full of faith and spirituality.  And she's a fighter.

Thank you for your interest in her well being and thank you for the outpouring of support we've received from our family & friends from right here in NJ to Cuba & Portugal and beyond.  At this time, there are more questions than answers but Marlenes is being cared for by a team of doctors & nurses who are focused on making her recovery as full and complete as God allows.

And if you know Marlenes you know the faith she has was instilled in her by her mother, Mrs Beckford, who has been standing with Marlenes for the past 35 years and continues to be her rock and mine too.

The boys are healthy and growing and anxiously anticipating being held by their mother again.

Thank you everyone for the things you're doing and setting up.  I know folks want to help and, frankly, I know we're going to need it.  Look here for updates on what we need.  The MOST important thing we need is the continued prayers for our family.  Doctors, nurses, mothers and husbands are all well intentioned but God is in control.

When Marlenes recuperates I know she's going to love seeing your well wishes and prayers here so feel free to share your thoughts, prayers and memories with Marlenes - just watch what you say because you'll have to deal with her very soon.  And let's keep the social media posts to a minimum.
