Tegan Rose #TeamTegan

The Rose family had their world flip upside down on Friday, March 17th. Tegan went in for a well-check appointment due to her 11th Birthday being the 19th. Her spleen was enlarged and her PA wanted to check to see what was going on. We were guessing it could have been from having Mono and not knowing as she has been sick with the crud everyone has had since Feb 6th and seemed to be finally getting over it. Well we would have taken mono all day long and was not prepared for the words that the doctor slowly said. Leukemia. There was someone so in charge of this whole story and there is a very long one but....on the bright side! Her numbers are only at 10% at the moment. Typically by the time kids get to the Helen Devos Children's Hospital, their numbers are in the 70/80% area. With our amazing PA questioning her spleen, we are getting  on top of this disease right away and much earlier than typical. We will be on a long journey of new experiences and will try to update as often as we can but know that we appreciate all the love that we have gotten and know we will get while we are on this journey.
