On December 20, 2013, Kyla broke her neck and began a journey that would lead to a diagnosis of multiple myeloma. By 2015, Kyla had fought the cancer into remission and was on her way through rehabilitation back to a normal life. However, in 2018, a back injury led to a discovery that the cancer had returned. Now in 2019, Kyla's second battle with multiple myeloma has begun.
