The last few weeks have been a bit chaotic in the Giannotti Household. our sweet little Grey has been diagnosed with LCH Cancer.(Langerhans cell histiocytosis is a type of cancer that can damage tissue or cause lesions to form in one or more places in the body. Langerhans cell histiocytosis (LCH) is a very rare cancer that begins in LCH cells). Grey has a lesion on her spine which is causing difficulty walking and causing her significant pain. No, the family was not expecting the news the day they received it. No, life will not be easy for a while - BUT she is extremely brave and such a little trooper! She is under the care of the TOP LCH SPECIALISTS IN THE WORLD! She has a team made up of our amazing oncologists here At Children's Hospital in Colorado, St. Judes, and MD Anderson. The Giannotti Family are truly BLESSED!
Grey is finally on the road to recovery! Their lives have been pure craziness the past few weeks, as you can imagine but none of the craziness matters anymore! Grey had her Power Port surgically implanted Thursday, September 12, 2019 and she had her first Chemo Treatment shortly after! and she showed DAY 1 CHEMO who was BOSS. She will continue her Chemo once a week for around 1 year, give or take, depending on her recovery. She is so strong and brave, and she is fighting this with a vengeance! The family is surrounded by so much love and support here in Colorado.
We are walking as a community for Grey in the upcoming walk in Denver! St. Judes has made great advances in the way LCH is treated! LCH is a very rare cancer and St. Judes is currently working on answering the unanswered question of all the families dealing with this rare childhood cancer! Please support #TeamGrey) if you can, all the proceeds go towards St. Judes! Thank You!

But like a Phoenix Grey will rise and be stronger then ever!
