Welcome to Colleen O’Rourke’s Caring Bridge page.
We are using this website to keep family and friends updated in one place regarding her recent breast cancer diagnosis (March 2022) and her progress in beating this thing. Good news is our Colleen is stubborn & competitive - so cancer has surely met its match this time!
Colleen is being treated at Legacy Hospital in Northwest Portland. She has an awesome medical team - led by an oncologist with a good sense of humor & clear communication style. Both attributes are a major plus. Another plus is her brother-in-law (Matt) is a physician in Portland and she's in daily communication with him to navigate this as best as possible.
Her treatment includes 12 weeks of weekly chemo, then chemo every other week for another 12 weeks, then surgery and radiation. Timing on surgery TBD.
Colleen intends to continue working at Buffalo Wild Wings - where she loves her regulars and team - as much as possible.
