Welcome to my CaringBridge website. This site will be used to update you all on my journey to beat stage 2 Nasopharyngeal Cancer. I was diagnosed on Oct. 19, 2020 after a biopsy was done on the mass in my throat that was first seen when I visited the doctor for treatment of my plugged up left ear. Little did I know then that my plugged ear was not caused by an ear infection like we originally thought, but it was caused by a large tumor in my nasopharynx blocking the Eustachian tube instead. I am so thankful there were symptoms that made me seek treatment because I had no clue this tumor was taking up residence in my sinus cavity and we were able to catch it early! I will begin radiation and chemo with a fantastic team of doctors and nurses on Dec. 1, 2020 at the Scott & White Cancer Center in Round Rock, TX and have an 85-90% curability rate. I believe in the power of prayer and find sharing my story with others to be a very helpful coping mechanism. I’m so happy you are here! 🥰
