Taylor was seriously injured at work on Tuesday, December 6th. A heavy metal beam (approximately 1 - 2 thousand pounds) fell on his back. He suffered a broken back. A bone fragment was pressing on his spinal cord causing paralysis and he had to have emergency surgery to decompress his spinal cord. At present he is unable to move his lower legs... and has very slight intermittent feeling in his legs. His back pain has become tolerable and he is now able to transfer himself to a wheel chair. He was extremely fortunate to be accepted to the Craig Rehabilitation Center in Denver Colorado. This Center is one of the top ranked spinal cord research and rehab centers in the nation. We are told that this sort of injury is slow and gradual. Since nerves are the slowest to heal the process will be ongoing over months and even years. He is in good spirits and is getting through this with all the wonderful support of his friends and family. We leave for Denver on Tuesday December 20th.
