In September of 2016, Tammy was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. She has been fighting it with chemo and radiation.

On August 2, 2017, Tammy went in for a 9 hour surgery, which lasted until about 6 PM that evening. She is now cancer free! As of now, Tammy is on her way to recovery! Through this process, she will be adapting to a new diet, due the removal of some organs: a section of her pancreas, her stomach, gallbladder and spleen. During this whole thing, she is showing her courage, joy, and determination!
