A few months ago I started having pain in my stomach which I thought was acid reflux.  When I started waking up in the middle of the night and couldn't sleep, I called the doctor.  After a routine exam, she considered that it may be gall stones so an ultrasound was scheduled.

At the ultrasound it was obvious something wasn't right and shortly after a CT scan was ordered.  It was obvious from the scan that  there was something inside my pancreas that shouldn't be there.

I went on to have an endocscopy to look inside and get a biopsy of whatever it was and yesterday received the results.  It is cancer.  The same type Steve Jobs had.  The good news is that it doesn't appear to have spread anywhere yet and we are hopeful that surgery or chemo will be the answer to taking care of it.
