After a three year battle with double vision and being diagnosed as having myasthenia gravis, we have finally found the real reason behind my vision and headache troubles. On Tuesday, April 11th, I went for my annual MRI. The only difference was, this time, they found a meningioma tumor behind my right eye. Beginning Tuesday, May 9th, I will begin 30 rounds of stereotactic radiation surgery over a period of six weeks (every day, Monday through Friday) to stop the tumor from growing. Since the tumor is close to the brain stem and pituitary gland, the radiation oncologist is taking it nice and slow to minimize any damage to these areas. While six weeks of radiation sounds daunting, with your support and love, and God's healing hands, I will make it through just fine.
