The cover photo on my site is from the Keahua Arboretum on Kauai, HI, a beautiful park-like setting with a grove of Rainbow Eucalyptus trees. They are even more beautiful in person. My profile photo is me experiencing a zen moment looking out to the ocean at Islander on the Beach, Kauai.

The title of my site, "Ka lā hiki ola", translates to “the dawning of a new day.” "This is the value of optimism, hope and promise. We are reminded that there will always be the dawning of another day — life affords us many different opportunities, and it is up to us to grab hold of them, and make this day our day, and the best day ever. Enjoy your present; relish the now. Kukupa‘u: Be enthusiastic. You will feel more alive. Trust in your instincts, trust in what you know and have learned, and trust in the person you are."
