Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most.

Our journey began when we received the news Sylvia has triple negative breast cancer.  November is a time of preparation for the holidays and visiting with family and friends.  It was not in our plan to wrestle with the big C and impending treatment.  Our journey took us to UAB to consult with Hematology and Oncology department in The Kirkland Center.  

Sylvia began a clinical trial in January 2016.  The type of drug being administered requires infusion every three weeks for four treatments.  After the fourth treatment in March, we will evaluate the results and make decisions to continue to resolve this matter with 100% success.  

Thank you for taking the time to visit this site and offering up prayers.  We are truly blessed by you all... And now, in 2024, the story continues...

After walking in complete healing since the fall of 2016, Sylvia has been diagnosed again with cancer.  The former was in the left breast.  This time, it is located in the right breast along with masses in several lymph nodes.  We received this news Monday, March 11, 2024 after the results of a biopsy taken the week before.  Please continue to be in prayer for Sylvia as we begin a new journey toward recovery and healing.  We both thank you all ahead of time for your prayers.  

We're so grateful to God for His incredible healing power.  We humble ourselves before Him and trust the power of the name of Jesus as we pursue resolve at this time.  Peace!
