Lower back pain led to a Kyphoplasty procedure whereby a fractured vertebrae was repaired. A biopsy revealed some abnormal cells. This led to a super fun bowel obstruction, followed by an "out of the blue" hole in the stomach (probably due to stress related ulcers)! After the repair of the hole in my belly, and the resulting infection was cleared up, we just started working on the results of the myriad of tests to determine what the BIG problem was. Turns out that I am super special, with a rare form of Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Starting the chemotherapy process tomorrow to beat this sucker back!
