Welcome to Suzanne’s CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. In June Suzanne was diagnosed with lung cancer. She is being treated at Texas Oncology by great doctors and nurses. And we have gotten 2nd opinion from MD Anderson. She is making progress and much improved over the treatments. But it's been a rough time. Two blood transfusions, two thoracentesis procedures, as well as all the treatments. Had her 4th immunotherapy/chemo treatment on October 17th. The treatments are about 3 weeks apart. And the pain she suffers at times can be overwhelming.
Suzanne's wonderful spirit is very much alive. Her humor is still with us every day and her beautiful smile still lifts us all. We appreciate all the concerns and prayers, and we need them.
Our family, our friends, our faith are all strong components of this fight. We've had great support from many people, and the Lord's blessings are abundant for us. Many thanks to Covenant, to our neighborhood, to her tennis buds, the CPA and travel business friends, and of course to our friends from Burnet Elementary, Bonham Junior High and Permian High School....you've all made this somewhat tolerable to deal with, because it's obvious how much you all love her.
She's had so many cards, and visits from friends, some of whom we hadn't seen for a while. And that too lifts her spirits.
Please leave a message at the very bottom of this site “Thoughts and Well Wishes”. She'll read them all, the way she does the cards so many of you have sent. There also is a Meal Train in place if you would like to provide a meal for Gary and Suzanne
