Suzanne is treasured and loved by many people, including her partner Andy, her son Eric, and her brothers Scott and Jim and their families.  She has many long-term friends, church friends, work friends, and people from all areas of her life.  We who love her are starting this site to get information to those individuals who are praying for her, which is greatly appreciated.

Suzanne has stage 4 Metastatic Breast Cancer in her liver and hip bones.  As a result of her right arm breaking from cancer, Suzanne had surgery on July 2, 2018, at the Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis.  On August 6, Suzanne was readmitted to IU Medical Center when she had a setback with sepsis.  On August 7, the surgeon who did her initial arm surgery went back in and cleaned out the wound.  Suzanne was in ICU for about a week and a half.  She is now in a regular room at the IU Medical Center and anticipates going to Rehab at the Franciscan Hospital in Lafayette.

Here is how you can help Suzanne:

1.  You can pray for Suzanne's recovery, strength, and healing.  Suzanne is a person of faith, and she and her loved ones feel and appreciate your prayers and good wishes.
2.  You can pray for Andy and Suzanne's brothers  Scott and Jim, who support and care for her, and her legion of friends who are doing the same.
3.  You can send her a card or a note at home or contact amymcvayabbott@gmail.com for current address.

4.  You can practice kindness and care with the loved ones you impact on a daily basis.  Life is indeed fleeting, so share your love.

UPDATE September 9, 2018:  While Suzanne left this realm today, she will always be with us.  We love you, Suzanne.
