Hi everyone and thanks for joining the page! Sue has Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, Stage II, HER2 positive, ER and PR negative. It has spread to the lymph nodes under her arm but they believe it is contained in just those lymph nodes. She begins a bunch of pre-testing on Monday, January 23rd: CT Scans, MRI, blood work, etc. On Tuesday, she'll meet with the Tumor Board and Chemotherapy will begin shortly after.
Chemotherapy is five months long, every other week with Herceptin, then every week with Taxol for 12 weeks. After the first round of Chemo, she will have surgery - either a Lumpectomy or Mastectomy (perhaps double if she chooses) based on tumor-size reduction. Surgery would occur in June and she should be able to return to work in the fall. So much to absorb but her doctor sounds VERY hopeful!!!!❤❤❤
If you'd like to send Sue cards, texts, etc. and need her address or phone number, please text or call me at 313.673.3143.
